Needless to say, we’re big on running and hold a number of weekly sessions throughout the year.

Our main session is held on Thursdays at the Timperley cinder track where a fully qualified coach will put you through your paces in a programme based on 400, 800, 1200m reps.

On Mondays you can join in with the weekly 10k Club run. This led rather than coached session usually takes place in and around Tatton Park, but when we fancy a change, we head off to other great local venues such as Alderley Edge or Marbury Park.

As with all our activities everyone is welcome – on the Club run we try and keep to a pace that means we can run as a group while at the coached sessions everything works in line with your own abilities and goals.

We organise several competitive Club runs every year over 10k or half marathon distances and help members with entry into major events such as the big city marathons. The Club is also fully affiliated to the Manchester and the North Staffs Cross Country Leagues where members can race for free.

What training sessions do you do?

The club is always looking to develop new sessions and on the hunt to members to Champion or lead them. Currently we have three planned weekly runs.


On a Monday evening, we aim to do a 10km run, either around Tatton Park (when it’s open) or around Knutsford. The pace is planned to be inclusive for moderate and reasonable runners (i.e. we like to run as a group, then stretch our legs for the last mile….if there is anything left!).

The major running session of the week is our coached run session, held on the 400m grass track behind the Knutsford Leisure Centre. More for our coach, Rob, soon.


What standard do I need to be?

As per all things within Knutsford Tri Club, we are very much about all ages, abilities and levels. So we try to make as many sessions as possible suitable for all abilities. If you’re not sure if you’ll cope, just talk to one of the Committee members or the session Champion. The Thursday coached session is specifically designed and run to cover ALL abilities.

88 minutes, re-starting on Sunday 5th November at our Knutty Leisure Centre, upstairs in the fitness suite.
Every Sunday, throughout the winter and into Spring.

New explosive drills have been added to Sunday’s Kore@4 for a sumptuous all over KORE workout.

Improve your strength, suppleness, flexibility, stamina and all over fitness.

Totally believe in yourself and have the courage, the determination, the dedication, the competitive drive - and if you are willing to sacrifice just a single 88 minutes, a mere 5,280 seconds - then I can guarantee it will all be worthwhile.
