A group of Knutsford Tri Club members and guests took on the Welsh Hills in an IronMan matching 112 mile bike ride, from Knutsford to Abersoch last Friday.
The 11 intrepid cyclists left Knutsford on Friday morning on a challenging route including the cities and towns of Chester, Corwen, Bala and Porthmadoc before arriving in Abersoch late Friday.
Many of the team also took on the chilly Cardigan Bay sea on Saturday to practice their open water swimming, following their expert weekly tuition by Mark Hudson at Knutsford Leisure Centre.
Two of the more intrepid riders also decided to complete the return trip on Sunday.
The event was deemed a great success with everyone pledging to complete it again next year....so watch this space for the dates of next years event.
