About Knutsford Tri Club

Triathlon in Knutsford gathered arms and legs in 2009 as a group of friends badgered one another into signing up for what was only the second year of the Tatton Park Triathlon. The event was a fantastic success, with no fewer than 4 of the group finishing in the top 20, and everyone smashing their personal bests and predicted times.

After the event, and over a few celebratory drinks in a local eatery, it was agreed by one and all that instead of being the one off event that was planned, this should be the beginning of triathlon for everyone.

From there, over a curry, Knutsford Tri Club was formed, and its first official session was a swimming class on the 10/02/2010 at Knutsford Leisure Centre. The club already boasts over 50 members and is developing on a weekly basis.
